Those who died died unexpectedly and were a majority of Americans who loved America. Most had some sort of knowledge of God and the blessing over America. Humming.

I just wanted to tell you that I think you are a heartless traitor and a disgraceful excuse for a man because you have decided to keep Evangelical Ministers be at Ground Zero on 9/11..instead you have politicians and Muslims..in other words a major slap in the face. The MAIN people who should be there are the Ministers (priests, rabbi’s and preachers—NO Muslims), the FIREFIGHTERS, POLICE, and the families and friends of those who lost their lives there that day. The ONLY politicians that should be there are Rudy Guilianni (sp), and George W. Bush (my President until at least the 2012 election). You and Obama who continuously kiss the backsides of every Muslim you come into contact with are a National Disgrace…especially on this particular date. Whether you like it or not WE THE PEOPLE WILL BE PRAYING!!
I agree! Even though I am in a state far from New York. I can see that some real changes need to be made. There should be no exclusions of any kind made to the memorial services. This is not the Mayor or the Governor’s place to restrict anyone. The people responsible for this terrible attack didn’t exclude anyone and neither should any Gov’t Official!

Someone start a text keyword and everyone subscribe and then the message sends out and everyone stops what they’re doing and sings it. I totally agree with Robin. I believe there should be a flash mob at ground zero and they should be singing Amazing Grace and God Bless America. This IS God’s land, this country was founded on Christian Judeo principles and we, the people, as a whole are Christians and it was Christians who overwhelmingly came to that site and gave their heart, lives, their sweat, their love, compassion….ect for this great country. Here’s something even better. How about everyone breaking out with the Lord’s Prayer before singing Amazing Grace? Think about it. Thousands reciting God’s prayer with one mind. one heart and one spirit. I live in New Jersey and cannot be there. However if i were i would have no reservations whatsoever about not only reciting the prayer i would be the first one up. And if anyone doesn’t like, tough! Deal with it!

Anghara, there is no “revenge” to anyone in a call to sing a Hymn of praise to His holy name. I am sorry if you may think because Amazing Grace may be considered an Evangelical hymn that it is a slight on any nationality or religion affected by this terrible tragedy 10 years ago, as it is not. Amazing Grace has been printed in EVERY language and is sung at all types of events, especially where mourning is involved. This is for ALL nationalities that choose they want to be involved with it they can, if not, then that is fine too. We are not asking for any type of disrespect, but to simply wait until Mayor Bloomberg is about to take to the mic and a simple chorus to be sing of Amazing Grace. I hate to confuse you, but what you say you believe in, “is” the American way. So who is it not right for? We actually have a Constitution that establishes those rights for us. America, historically has had a conflict with only those countries with authoritarian ideologies, who would inflict their “way” upon us. And we Americans consider ourselves the most fortunate beings on earth that we have a government whose obligation it is, to protect us and our freedom from all who threaten it.
So, I think it would be preferable for you to worry about what is becoming of your country, which is in great peril, than to construe illogical criticism of a heartfelt statement of “we the people”, to a government official who has over stepped his authority in a rabid move of political correctness. We the People, have had quite enough of it. And thank God, we still have freedom of speech here. Do you still have that freedom?

I did not see this in time. Great idea, though. Bloomburg deserves to be recalled for this.
Did it happen??? I was out of town for 9/11. Disgusted by Muslim, not Christian, speakers being there for that event.
